Many of the past wonders find no mention in the list
Nothing is permanent in this world. Not even its wonders. There was a time when mankind took great pride in Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Statue of Zeus at Olympia, the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, the Colossus of Rhodes and the Lighthouse of Alexandria. All of them have now been consigned to the dustbin of history as we take another look at the Wonders of the World. Kudos to Bernard Weber for kindling an issue that otherwise would never have received the attention of the world. The across-the-globe voting will make sure that everybody feels a part of the decision-making process. Ramlingam, Chennai |
